The End Of Google
Posted by pivet | Posted in Google | Posted on 20-12-2008
Google is the world’s largest search engine and was founded back in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They made a huge effort and hire the BEST technical geniuses both from universities and from companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Yahoo. No doubt, it seems like a brilliant and foolproof strategy.
But, if you take a peek into the history; you’ll see everything that was on the top and seemed to be undefeatable had eventually suffered a dethronement either from the inside or the outside.
Now, the question arises if Google is to be eventually end, how will that happen?
For instance, the German government was dethroned by its own people without a single shot being fired. While on the other hand, Microsoft was dethroned by Google in the web, which was unbelievable to even Bill Gates himself.
So, both is possible in Google’s case too. It can be dethroned from the outside or inside. Let’s analyze both conditions:
•Inside Flaws That Can End Google
Google is no doubt a remarkable name in the online business industry. But, there is a basic flaw in its strategies that can eventually kill the company. One of it is being doomed to disappoint most of his employers and making it easier for them to leave the company. By doing this, Google is in fact, sowing the seeds of its own devastation. And it is quite possible that this flood of Google employees leaving the company and having a lot of experience can think to start a company of their own and can start giving a hard time to Google. And even if we assume that they do not have enough money to launch their ideas with their experience. But, there are always the venture capitalists on Sand Hill Road who are willing to invest in world-beating ideas and former Google employees can join hand with them to launch a company who can give a real competition to Google. So, it can be said that the end of Google can be an inside job.
•Outside Threats That Can Lead to End of Google
Secondly, the chances are there that some other company can come and can dethrone Google from the position it is enjoying currently. There are billions of human beings with trillions of “best ideas”, who knows if anyone’s idea strikes and next Google is created.
We’ve seen that there are 50% chances of both conditions. But, there is another 50% chance which says that Google will not end so easily. Let’s see what happens!
